Minutes of the meeting held on Thursday 1^st April 2010

Present:

1.         Apologies: Wendy Griffin

2.         Minutes from last meeting  -  approved

Matters arising :-  dog fouling notices & bins to be chased up

3.         Highway Matters

    None

4.         Update from Powys County Council

    None

5.         Village and Community Issues

• Stop tap cover @ Guidfa Meadows is loose and a trip hazard.  Welsh Water have been contacted.

• Village has been letter dropped for help with the community centre committee – only 1 response has been received so far.

• Brairfield drainage issue – Derek to chase up.

6.         Website Update

•     Community centre booking clerk telephone number to be changed on website – Derek to action.

•     Webmaster appointment to be made official – Clerk to write to Peter Cross to inform him

•     Ringmaster emails – discussed content of current mails and it was agreed that all ringmaster emails will be added to the site. This was proposed by Huw and seconded by Terry.  

•   Circular walks – Bridal path request from local resident has been acknowledged but community council feels that it is unachievable at present.  Derek to contact rights of way to give us definitive maps to see what is available.

•    Amendments to circular walks directions & position of bridge to be forwarded to webmaster by clerk.

7.         Financial Reports

•     Current account balance at 22^nd March - £1250.89

•     Cheques outstanding from community centre issued at March meeting haven't been banked.  Also BDO audit cheque has not been banked.

•     Mandate deferred to next month as not a full council sitting this meeting.

8.         Correspondence

•     PCC – planning liasion meeting email – notice of next round of meetings – noted, no action.

•     Rural Housing Enabler – invite to event on 15^th April – noted, no action.

•     Dyfed Powys Police – consulation on employment targets – noted, no action.

•     Centregreat Limited – Festive Lighting 2010 – noted, no action.

9.         Planning

    P2010 0292 – Erection of detached dwelling @ plot adjacent to Dan y Deri, Rock Road.  Comments forwarded to Planning Department.

10.        Any other Business

    AGM meeting – Thursday 13^th May at 7.00pm
