3. Presentation from Circular Trials Project
Project is funded under the Rural Development Plan.
Focuses on circular walks in 4 areas of Powys; these vary in levels of hardness and time scales for people of different abilities. Walks can be accessed via PCC website, saves on paper and easier to find via search engine than paper maps.
Circular Trials aims to access smaller communities to establish walks; rather than Rights of Way which focus on already established walks.
Aims to involve working groups in communities to establish and maintain walks; create ownership and target people who wouldn’t ordinarily be involved.
Huw and Terry to look at maps and proposed walks, maybe come up with anymore and contact Kevin Straw to develop further.
Derek Price has joined meeting (8.0pm)
