Minutes of the meeting held on Thursday 8th October

1. Minutes from last meeting
Approved
2. Matters arising:
No interest to date in council vacancies; council now in a position to co-opt. Clerk to do poster to advertise
and include date of next meeting – Phil to display in village.
3. Highway Matters
· None
4. Update from Powys County Council
· None
5. Website Update
· 2700 hits to date. Pictures and map received re the Circular Trail Walk and page has been updated.
6. Village and Community Issues
· Community Centre meeting attended by Peter Cross on 7th October; changes to the constitution again – not yet finalized.
A Christmas Fair is being held on 12th December as a fund raising activity. Positive progress is being made to raise the
profile of the hall.
7. Financial Reports
· HSBC Current Account - £1444.19
· HSBC Business Money Manager - £1792.54
· Invoice for British Legion memorial wreath - £18.00 - paid
· Invoice for Clerk, Jul/Aug/Sept - £483.33 – paid
· Discussion re payment of Community Centre Grant Money – decided that it would be paid in two installments in line with precept
receipt and end of year accounts:- £500 in October and £500 in March. Clerk to write and enclose 1st payment.
8. Correspondence
· Wickstead playgroup info. – Derek to read
· Powys Regeneration Partnership – extension to business consultation – no action
· Rural Housing Enabler – details noted – no action
· BBC Audience Council of Wales invitation – Jenny to attend at Metropole on 5th November.
9. Planning
· P2009 0217 – enforcement officer was contacted and has visited the site – no action to be taken at present time.
10 Any other Business
· Phil to lay wreath on behalf of community council
