Matters Arising:

Adjustments made to Highway matters – A4583 to A483

3.       Highways Matter

          D Price to amend and print Street Lighting letter on Community Council Headed paper.

·         Distribution of approx 150 letters by community councilors and returns to put in collection box in Post Office.

·         Community Speed Cameras, N Shepperd to approach Llanyre & Newbridge and Disserth & Trecoed re. Joint

          purchase of camera.

4.       Update from Fred Barker, PCC

·         Meeting of the Board re budgets, recommendation of 3.5% increase in council tax.  Also review of current

          budgets inc. social care, pension funds and travel expenses.

·         Planning meeting feedback – Burgins, Dolau to open a 4 wheel drive school on the ground at the top of ‘The Lane’;

          site meeting requested and application deferred.

·         Recycling station currently situated at High Street, LL/W; proposal to re-site on ground near Plumb Center when

          new road is completed.  Query re. Noise pollution in residential area of collecting/unloading containers at night.

·         Application for a chicken farm in Dolau was approved.

5.       Financial Reports

·         Operating Account balance at £2169.89 CR.

·         Action to close National Savings Account and Transfer funds to operating account.

·         Invoice from Clerk – Wages and Expenses £468.77 – Paid

·         Invoice from Community Centre – Affilation fee/Feb-Mar rent £62 Paid

·         Invoice for BDO Audit - £129.25 Paid

• ·         Register of Electors request form – JE to post reply

• ·         Invitation to LL/W Town Council meeting of 13 Feb – No Action

• ·         One Voice Wales Seminar of 11 & 14 Feb in Aberystwyth – No Action

• ·         BDO Audit completed on 2^nd January 2008 – Issues arising:-

•          Risk Assessment of meetings – carried out verbally.

•          Viewing of Financial Audit to public under clerk responsibility at allocated times. Figures disclosed in                section 1 had an error, now corrected.

•           Minutes to be consecutively numbered and clerk to initial every page

•           Invoice for Audit ending March 2007 - Paid

• ·         Crossroads Shot Flier Invitation to Coffee Morning at Guild Hall in Brecon on Sat 8^th March – No Action
