received from Ian Davies PCC, a letter was written asking him to respond by
today but still no response. Huw & Terry to chase up by telephone.
3. Highways Matters:

Belisha Beacon repaired

Bus Shelter D Price
reported that it is still in Brecon, we are 3rd / 4th on
the list.

Night Lighting Survey re
consultation letter from PCC, J Early to send copy of the night lighting
survey to Alistair Knox.

Traffic/Speed counter in
village D Price to find out for what use it is.

Drainage works on
Crossgates Road
D Price to find out how long works are anticipated to take.
4. Update from Fred Barker, PCC
-
During election campaign the
lack of play areas was emphasized. Locals are not encouraged to use school
playing fields. Headteacher at school does
sympathise with lack of facilities but due to ELI the
public is not covered to use as owned by the PTA and also the security of the
site was questioned. Requested made that the PCC Chief Executive, Planning &
Recreation Officer and Head of Education to meet to resolve issue. Provision
needed in time for summer holidays.

Planning Application for
houses adjacent to Tanyfron has received large number of opposition re
privacy, specifically of Green Gables. Kirsty Williams has attended meeting
there and will consult with the Trunk Road Agency with the feeling that the
access is not suitable to another 39 houses.

Cycle track between
Crossgates and Llandrindod has been discussed with Cycling Officer. It is on
the priority list and funding possibilities are being sought. The final
responsibility of WAG it is high on their list of priorities. They stated
that a feasibility report is required; D Price stated that one was carried out
5 years ago so no need for another. Councillor Barker to ask Bruce Pucknall.

Church Farm planning
application is to be dealt with on Tuesday 10th June, there were
representations made but none from Community Council in future clerk to
respond to planning applications in writing/email even if no objections to
request.

Article from Thurs 22nd
May issue of County Times bought to councils attention it is praising the
forth coming development of 39 houses with no consideration for objections
received.

It has been noted that a
local property has converted its garage into living space to be checked if
this is within building regs or requires planning permission

Future of Crossfield House
brought up asked Councillor Barker for his support as all local communities
will be affected by its closure.

Scots Pine on edge of Guidfa
Meadows has been subject to tree surgery question asked re life span of
these trees in relation to re. planting of new trees on area
thoughts/enquiries by next meeting.
